Founder of Oxford’s legendary performance arts space The Catweazle Club and artistic director of Big Village, Matt Sage is an inspirational song maker and performer. Assembling his band from the cream of Oxford’s acoustic musicians, all have their own bands, and together they form the supporting cast for this special event at the beautiful and historic Abbey at Sutton Courtenay.
The artists perform throughout the evening, then finish with an exuberant performance as one band. Colin Fletcher & Jane Griffiths are a talented duo who play fast tunes slowly on fiddle and guitar, expect hornpipes, reels and original tunes. Barnabas is an extraordinary one man orchestra, weaving an intricate spell creating live loops with cello, guitar and vocal. The Kate Garrett Band perform twilight songs that blend otherworldly acoustics with left-field experimentalism. A magical evening showcasing the finest of Oxford talent.
